Counting Macros are not the solution you think they are....

You want to lose weight? Maintain your weight? Get rid of your bloated belly? Have a better relationship with food?


Let’s chat why macros won’t sustain the results you REALLY want. 


What you really want is to feel in control of your body.


To feel comfortable and confident in your body without having to unbutton your jeans or constantly suck in, be relaxed AND enjoy yourself + your meal when you are out for dinner with friends! 


Macros don’t allow you to be flexible when you are out with your friends, travelling or when someone else is cooking for you (your worst nightmare when you are trying so hard to hit your macros!)


It’s more than just calories in vs. calories out or having the perfect macros. Your hormones, food sensitivities + gut health are just a few things that can impact your ability to lose or maintain your weight!


A built bar, which is awesome for your macros to help you hit your protein goal, isn’t going to provide you the nutrients that a steak will. Real food that your body can use the most efficiently and provide you with the minerals you need. Just because something is great for your macros, doesn’t mean its great for your gut and metabolism. Your MACRONUTRIENTS + MICRONUTRIENTS (vitamins and minerals) matter. 


YES - macros can be a TOOL to teach you how much you are really eating + the breakdown of foods, but a side effect is usually eating low-calorie, low-quality, sugar-free + highly processed foods so you can fit your macros perfectly like tetris. If you have counted macros you are likely well aware of Fairlife protein drinks, protein chips and snacks, protein bars, high volume meals (whole bags of veggies…only 40 calories JACKPOT!) fat free dressings and dips, zero calorie drinks…..


Understanding HOW your body works  + learning to listen to what it NEEDS is the cheat code you are missing. The goal is flexibility cuz there will ALWAYS be changes in life. You need to learn how to adapt so you can escape the all-or-nothing mindset that keeps you stuck counting macros.

Counting macros might work really well at first + then after a while, it stops.
